Cafes around Atlanta: White Windmill Bakery and Cafe
I’m on a mission to start a series sharing some cafes around Atlanta, mostly to find reasons to get out of my house while studying. Here’s to one that has a wide selection of drinks, bobas, coffees, teas, and delicious baked goods to fill all of your cravings while you get some work done.
I visited White Windmill Bakery and Cafe located at 5881 Buford Hwy NE, Doraville, GA 30340. They also have two other locations in Duluth.

For me, there are just a few certain things a cafe must meet in order for me to add it to my rotation of places to get work done at. Number one being: Do they have enough outlets. This cafe and bakery has plenty of outlets and free Wifi if you need it. Additionally, they have a nice outdoor patio adorned with lights, that i’m sure is very nice for summer nights.

They have a lot of stand out items in their bakery including some of my favorite desserts like tiramisu and macaroons. The place is lined with so many treats that you are guaranteed to be satisfied. Additionally they have freshly baked bread and many Korean pastries that i’m looking forward to trying when I go back like red bean buns, red bean donuts, and chestnut manju.

Even though it’s still pretty cold outside to me in Atlanta, that couldn’t stop Patbingsu from catching my eye. Patbingsu is a popular shaved ice dessert that can be topped with extra treats like chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup, and red beans. It reminded me of a mountain of super delicate snow, its very fluffy and it just melts in your mouth instantly. The taste is sweet but still light and refreshing. I have added it as one of my favorite icy desserts. The bowl comes with more than enough shaved ice that I could eat alone, so I recommend bringing someone along with you to share it with!

White Windmill has nice staff, lots of open space, and there is something on the menu for everyone. I will be going back to try some of their other treats and will keep you all updated with what I find.
